Privacy
What we collect from subscribers
Your email address, when you write to ask for a sample or to subscribe. If you include a name or firm name in your message, we may keep that with your email so we can reply.
What we do with it
We use your email to send the weekly company list you asked for, and short messages about that list. We do not sell subscriber emails.
How to unsubscribe
Reply “stop” to any email, or write to [email protected] with the subject New Company Alerts and ask to be removed. We will stop sending.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no cookie consent banner because we do not use non-essential cookies or third-party ad trackers. The page has no analytics pixels beyond what the host may log for basic delivery.
Where we operate
New Company Alerts is operated from Ontario, Canada. We handle subscriber emails under Canadian privacy expectations (PIPEDA) and Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) for commercial messages.
Customer account data
When you create or use a customer account on this site, we may also hold:
- Sign-in email and optional name / business name from the free-week or paid sign-up form.
- Account status: trial (with start and end dates), active, expired, or cancelled.
- Lead activity you add: status (New / Called / Quoted / Won / Lost) and private notes. Notes stay private to your login.
- Digest archive: copies of weekly/daily lead emails we already sent you, so you can open them in the account portal.
- Email preferences: frequency and unsubscribe flags.
- Billing references: Stripe customer and subscription ids (not full card numbers). Card data stays with Stripe.
- Sign-in security: short-lived magic-link tokens and HttpOnly session cookies. We do not store passwords.
We do not sell account data. We do not show one customer’s leads, notes, or digests to another customer. Hidden source detail pages stay unpublished; the portal does not link to them. Ask to see, fix, or delete account data by emailing the hello@ address for this brand.
